What is a fascia reset intensive?
A fascia reset intensive is an opportunity to make profound changes to your fascia in a short time period. Our fascia functions best when it is in a balance of healthy tension, elasticity, and hydration. Modern life continually adds tension to our fascia. Mayer Wellness can help you regain a healthy balance.
At Mayer Fascia Wellness, we offer you the opportunity to learn about your body and gain an entirely new perspective on health through the lens of fascia. You will leave with a plan for continuing your healing at home, and if you are not in our area, we offer virtual sessions for follow-up coaching.
How long is a fascia reset intensive?
We offer one-week and two-week intensives, which are only offered Monday through Friday. Each day, the participant receives two to three hours of treatment activities (see below for details).
Before Your Fascia Reset Intensive
You’ll receive some digital paperwork to complete, including consent forms. We will ask that you upload digital photos of yourself to show your posture. (If you do not have the ability to do this, we can complete this at your evaluation.) You will also be asked to think about your goals for the intensive.

The Evaluation
On your first day with us, we will complete an in-depth evaluation including:
- Your health history.
- A review of your wellness practices.
- An in-depth assessment of your body posture and alignment points.
- A full-body functional mobility assessment.
- A pain assessment.
- A video-based movement assessment that includes gait, natural movements such as a squat, ADLs, etc.
- Habit identification.
- Collaboration on your goals for the week.
The evaluation can take two to three hours to complete, depending on your concerns and goals. This important information informs us how we will design your treatment program. Day one will also include in-depth education on the details you need to know to participate fully in your program.
Treatment
Your treatment plan may start on day one, depending on the length of the evaluation. Each day after your evaluation will include a mixture of the following interventions. Intensives will NOT be only hands-on myofascial release. We have so many more ways to empower you and support your healing.
- Myofascial release techniques to create balanced and responsive fascia.
- Myofascial release self-treatment techniques to empower you.
- Movement training to create healthy habits of movement.
- Mobility + stability training to create strong and flexible muscles.
- Posture training to create healthy posture habits.
- Habit retraining to keep tension from rebuilding.
- Hydration and Nutrition Education to support fascial health.
- Stress management training to support fascial health.
Participation in our weekly classes is included in your intensive package.
- Fascia Yoga
- Fascia Forward Fitness
Homework may be assigned during your intensive. We may ask you to journal or make notes about your experience each day. This reinforces your learning and helps us prepare for the next day. We may also ask you to focus on your posture or do additional light stretching before or after your sessions.
Final Day
At least one hour of your last day with us will be reserved for re-evaluation and education. We want you to leave us with a plan in place to continue your healing and wellness goals. You’ll be provided with a plan we’ve designed just for you to help you meet your goals. Your plan may include:
- Stretching and mobility exercises to support your posture and movement goals.
- Myofascial Release Self-Treatment to support mobility and posture goals.
- Recommendations for other activities to continue on your healing and wellness journey.
How can a fascia reset intensive help you?
We have a unique approach to healing fascia that goes well beyond time on the table. We are educators who want to empower you with knowledge and skills that will help you return to your life with everything you need to know to prevent the tension from rebuilding in your fascia.

Balancing the tension in your fascia is like a game of tug of war with life on one side and you on the other.

Through our unique process of reverse engineering and activity analysis, we help you identify how life is putting tension in your body. Then we empower you with the knowledge and skills to keep it out.
Going to a therapist who uses myofascial techniques and having them release your fascia is simply not enough to create and maintain healthy fascia if that is all you do. Life will put the tension right back in if you are not aware of how it got there in the first place. However, getting on the table and receiving fascia treatment will give you a huge jumpstart in the right direction.
We go through this process with all our clients. A fascia reset intensive helps you through it more quickly.

Linda’s Experience
Linda is a retired 74-year-young occupational therapist who loves to golf. She has a history of stroke, open heart surgery, and a pacemaker implant. Her primary concerns were the open-heart surgery scar pulling her forward, loss of spine mobility, and pain throughout the chest. Her primary goal is to continue to play golf well.
Linda reported that she has received periodic myofascial therapy in her home state and found it helpful, but she wanted to do an intensive session to accelerate her gains. While at her intensive, she received ongoing posture coaching, a personalized 15-minute mobility program she can continue to do daily at home, and a more in-depth mobility program she can do one to two times per week.
Her posture changes are very visible below. However, her most significant change was in her thoracic or upper back mobility. She had the opportunity to golf before returning to Arizona and reported that her swing had significantly improved!

Frequently Asked Questions
Fascia is everywhere in your body, not just around your muscles. Myo means muscle. We use myofascial release techniques to release fascia, but we do not just target the muscular systems. We target ALL the body systems, aiming to rebalance ALL the fascia, not just the fascia surrounding the muscles.
If you are not sure, you are welcome to contact us. Our intensives provide you with a jump start toward healing. We provide in-depth education to empower you to continue the progress we make together.
Anyone can do an intensive with us. You may have a diagnosis that is affecting your ability to move easily, or you may have chronic pain. People who want to age well and maintain ease of movement are great candidates for intensives. Any diagnosis from plantar fasciitis to TMD is appropriate for an intensive.
Yes. Our intensives are about learning what you can do to improve your health. If you are only interested in having us work on you the entire time of your intensive, you are not a good fit for our program. Healing is not passive. We use hands-on myofascial release techniques to support your ability to move better and have less pain.
We would like all our clients to bring a water bottle to the intensive program. Hydration is extremely important for fascial health. A notebook may be helpful to take notes and make reminders. We may also ask you to journal your thoughts and reactions to your experiences.
During your myofascial treatment, we ask that you wear stretchy clothing that provides easy access to your body. Usually, a loose sleeveless top and stretchy waistband shorts are ideal. You may want to bring layers for other activities such as self-treatment, mobility, or stretching.
It is also important not to apply lotion to your skin before your treatment. Myofascial release requires good contact with the skin without sliding.
Our goal is always to minimize your pain. Any discomfort you feel should feel therapeutic. We will be right alongside you to help you determine what is safe for you and what is not. We will NEVER push you to do anything you do not want to do.
No. For an additional fee, we can provide you with documentation and a superbill for your intensive. However, it is unlikely that an intensive will be covered. The client is 100% responsible for all communication with the insurance company if they attempt reimbursement.
No. If you are going to try to submit to insurance, you may want to secure a prescription.
We require one week’s notice from the date of your evaluation to provide you with a refund. Intensive sessions take a great deal of time on the therapist’s schedule, and less notice makes it difficult to fill the schedule. One week’s notice will result in a full refund minus the cost of the online course ($40). Less than one week will result in a 50% refund of the total cost.
You will be with your therapist for three hours each day. Your therapist will also spend time outside of your sessions reviewing your data and planning your sessions. Your therapist will also organize your homework package prior to your final re-evaluation session. The total cost of this amount of time is $2750 for a one-week session. You will also have optional additional perks such as attendance at our weekly yoga and fitness classes or any workshops scheduled during your stay.
Intensive sessions must be scheduled in advance with your therapist. Do not schedule online for an intensive. Contact Kaitlyn.
Contact us directly at KaitlynRamboMFW@gmail.com or call 402-235-8389 to set up a time to discuss and schedule your session. You will be invoiced after setting up the sessions. You will need to pay the invoice in full within three days to keep the sessions on the schedule.
No. We rarely allow clients to book more than one session per day. The intensive is designed to allow your therapist to dedicate time outside your scheduled treatment time to designing and preparing your sessions. Time outside your session is also dedicated to planning your post-intensive self-treatment plan. The intensive is priced in a way that covers your therapist’s time to do this for you.
Yes. We can do a two-week intensive. We ask that you only do a two-week intensive, no more than four times per year.
Yes. However, you will likely not have the same experience as compressing the sessions. We recommend you do not spread the session out over more than two weeks.
